SYNOPSIS:

To celebrate what would have been Bruce Lee???s 65 birthday 20th Century Fox released Bruce Lee: Ultimate Collection this October. The collection consists of five of Lee???s films that date back to 1971 with his first starring role in The Big Boss to his last film completed before his death in 1973 Game of Death. It is followed by a sequel released posthumously that happens to be part of this box set.

The Big Boss (1971) ??? The movie marked Lee???s first starring role making him a house hold name. Lee portrays Cheng. He slaves away in a factory all day and has to put up with a ruthless tyrant that oversees the operation. When workers suddenly go missing without a trace Lee is installed as foreman. Lee???s cousin is kidnapped by thugs who are working for the boss. Having taken an oath never to fight again Lee is placed in an awkward position. While he must take control of the situation will he be able to rescue her without resorting to using Kung Fu?

Fist of Fury (1972) - The film is set in 1908 in China. Back then having the utmost respect for those who taught you was of utmost importance. Seeking revenge for a teacher???s murder was considered the most honorable act one could ever perform. Lee???s beloved kung fu instructor has been murdered by a ruthless gang. While shocked his emotion turns to rage. He knows if he does not find the gang responsible and wipe them out nobody else will. He ends up traveling to Shanghai to find the killers and bring them to justice. Instead he now faces opponents unlike any he has ever seen before???they are the most dangerous he ever faced.

Way of The Dragon (1973) - Bruce Lee starred in, wrote, and directed this film. Lee must go to Rome after a life long friend has found himself part of a war with gangsters wanting control of his restaurant and issuing threats. Nobody gets in their way and they always take what they come for. The three leaders of this gang have never seen what Lee is capable of in the martial arts as a deadly assassin. They try with all their reinforcements to get rid of Lee for good. Now the only thing they can do is pray and hope the International martial arts champion they called up from America (Chuck Norris) can take Lee apart and deliver his head and the deeds to the restaurant on a silver platter.

Game of Death (1973) - Bruce Lee died during production of this film. His last effort is a tale that cements Lee???s legendary status. Ironically, Lee plays a kung fu film star with a bright future and career on the rise. An agent that specializes in taking advantage of famous clients has his sights set on Lee???s character, Billy Lo, and his bright and talented songstress girlfriend. Lee will not sign his life away to Land who sends his henchmen to do the convincing. In the end it comes to numerous one on one confrontation against deadly kung fu masters. Will Lee survive and earn freedom?

Game of Death II (1981) - Released posthumously this film is about dark revenge after Billy Lo???s friend dies a sudden and mysterious death. Lee believes foul play was involved in his friend???s demise. His belief receives credibility when the coffin is stolen using a chopper at a funeral. Lo???s brother Bobby decides to let a Buddhist master uncover the truth. They are led to the Castle of Death the last place their friend went while alive. A ruthless martial arts expert befriends them but oddly enough he too dies mysteriously. Lee ends up dealing with something far more terrifying than ever expected.
